Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address you provide when creating an account or making a purchase. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address that service shares with us (with Apple this may be a private relay address); we never see your Google or Apple password.
• Purchase & transaction history: which products you've purchased (Entry Coins, Turnover Silver, pledge/collector coins), purchase dates and amounts, and which sweepstakes drawing(s) you've entered.
• Sweepstakes entry information: information submitted to enter a drawing, consistent with the applicable Official Sweepstakes Rules.
• Voucher information: voucher serial numbers, ownership, and redemption status.
• Payment information: BMD does not collect or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor; Stripe's own privacy practices govern the payment data it handles.
• Communications: messages you send us, including bee-removal service inquiries and support requests.
• Automatically collected information: standard website usage data (such as pages visited) that helps us maintain and improve the Site.

2. How We Use Information

• To process purchases, fulfill orders, and administer your account;
• To administer the Buzz for Gold sweepstakes in accordance with the applicable Official Rules, including verifying eligibility and notifying winners;
• To maintain your purchase, entry, and voucher history within your account;
• To identify returning customers and, at BMD's discretion, offer loyalty benefits, promotions, or other recognition based on that history;
• To send account-related, transactional, and drawing-related communications;
• To send newsletter emails only to people who opt in — by ticking the newsletter box at checkout or sign-up, confirming a sign-up form from the email we send, or turning it on in account settings — consistent with applicable email marketing law (every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link);
• To respond to bee-removal service inquiries and provide other BMD services you request.

3. How We Share Information

BMD shares information only as needed to operate the Site and program:

• Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — for example, Stripe (payment processing), our email/communications platform, and our website developer — bound to use your information only to provide those services.
• As required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BMD, our users, or others.
• Public entry list and coin verification: for the Buzz for Gold sweepstakes, the public entry list and the coin verification page (where anyone can enter a coin's verification code) show an entry's number, drawing and status with the holder's first name and last initial only, or “Anonymous” if you ask — never an email address or other contact details.
• Hall of Supporters: on the pledge/collector coin page, the public Hall of Supporters lists each paid pledge with the backer's display name and coin serial, and their profile photo only if they choose to show it. Backers who ask to be listed as Anonymous appear without a name, photo or serial. Email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses never appear there.

BMD does not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

BMD uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and BMD cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

BMD retains account and purchase information for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain accurate business and sweepstakes records, including the recordkeeping periods described in the Official Rules (for example, holding winning entries for at least sixty (60) days following a drawing). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time; see Section 7.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand basic Site usage. We do not use these technologies to sell your personal information.

7. Your Choices

• Newsletter emails: you receive them only if you opt in. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email, or turn them off in your account settings. Deleting your account also unsubscribes you. Order, account and drawing emails are sent either way.
• Public lists: you can ask to be listed as Anonymous on the public entry list or the Hall of Supporters when you sign up or check out, and change it, or whether your photo is shown, at any time in your account settings (or by contacting BMD if you checked out as a guest).
• Account data: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting BMD using the information in Section 11.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site and the Buzz for Gold program are not directed to, and accounts may not be created by, individuals under 18 years of age.

9. Texas & Other State Privacy Notices

Bee Man Dan LLC currently qualifies as a small business under U.S. Small Business Administration size standards, which generally exempts small businesses from most obligations under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), provided the business does not sell sensitive personal data. BMD does not sell sensitive personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

BMD may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version posted on the Site at the time of your use applies.
